Instructions

    • 1

Make sure you get the tie rods that are meant for your Honda Prelude model year.

    • 2

Loosen the lug nuts of the front tires with a lug nut wrench, then jack up your Prelude. Support the car on jack stands and remove the tires.

    • 3

Remove the bolt that connects the tie rod to the steering rack. Mark the position of the tie rods in the rod adjuster with paint or a marker, then loosen the nut.

    • 4

Unscrew the tie rod and write down the number of turns it took to remove it.

    • 5

Transfer the marks from the old tie rod onto the new one, and screw the new tie rod into position. Tighten the nut to 85 foot pounds.

    • 6

Put the other end into the steering rack and insert the bolt. Repeat the steps for the other tie rod. Put back on the tires, and tighten the lug nuts to 87 foot pounds.
