Things You'll Need:
- Raw garlic cloves
- Olive leaf extract
- Steam vaporizer
- Raw honey
- Lemon
-
Step 1
Garlic has amazing healing properties. Use only fresh and uncooked garlic, not the stuff in the jar. Allicin, the anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-microbial component in garlic is only present in the fresh raw form. Mince 1 clove and add it to your food twice a day. Please don't confuse the clove with the whole head! It won't harm you to eat all of that but it's likely to be very gas inducing!
-
Step 2
Take a day or two off, your body needs it. And why spread it around if you can help it? Make sure you get extra sleep, 10-12 hours per day is minimum to assist your body in ridding itself of illness. Have your steam vaporizer in the room as during winter the dryness from your heating system will aggravate your throat and sinus issues associated with colds and flu.
-
Step 3
Try olive leaf extract, making sure it's not likely to interfere with any medications you take for any chronic ailments (ask your doctor). I get great results with 1 225 mg. capsule 3 times a day (with meals).
-
Step 4
Fluids are urgent here. Make sure your are drinking at least 10 glasses of healthy and hydrating fluids per day. Yes I know, we are told that 8 is optimal but since you are sick, you need more. Make a "flu toddy" with hot water, lemon, and raw honey before bed. Some people swear by adding a shot of brandy to this mixture, that's great, but keep it moderate or you will just make yourself sicker.
