Things You'll Need:
- Pineapple
- 8" plant pot
- household plant food

Step 1
Cut the top and pull off some of the leaves. Turn it upside down and allow it to dry.

flower startingGet an 8 inch pot, and fill it with garden soil. Plant the pineapple into the pot, pressing the soil around the base of the crown trying not to get the soil on the leaves.

Step 3
Feed the pineapple with regular plant food every two months.

Step 4
pineapple growingDuring the summer bring it outdoors on the patio, but bring it back indoors during the winter placed in front of or near a sunny window. Water lightly about once a week.

Step 5
getting tallerWatch the plant's growth, looking for a red bud, and then blue flowers. It will take about 6 months for the fruit to completely develop.
