Take a Mental Health Break for Moms

It is of extreme importance to take time on a regular basis to devote to yourself and to your relationships. You may wonder if such a suggestion is too selfish to act upon, especially if you have young children. On the contrary, it is detrimental to a person's well-being to have a chance to escape by one's self or with a friend or loved one.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Your first option is to leave children in the care of someone you know and trust. A member of your family is usually best because they have a true interest in the children's health and safety.

  2. Step 2

The next option is a babysitter that you've used before or one that has come recommended by friends. Babysitters range in price and responsibilities. Be clear as to what you want done while away.

  3. Step 3

Another option for getting away is to swap time with a friend. This requires an exchange of time instead of money. You can drop your child off at your friend's home, or arrange for your friend to come stay in your home while you are out. Then repay your friend with your time at a later date.
