How to Make Your Own Herbal Oatmeal Scrub
Exfoliate your skin, unclog your pores without spending big money on store bought herbal facial scrubs. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 2 cups rolled oats
- ½ cup whole almonds
- 2 tablespoons dried lavender
- 1 tablespoon dried peppermint
- 1 tablespoon dried comfrey
- ½ cup white cosmetic clay

In a clean food processor, and done separately, finely grind the oats, almonds, and the dried herbs.

Thoroughly combine the oats, almonds, and herbs.

Thoroughly mix the cosmetic clay with the oats mixture

Store dry scrub in an airtight container and keep in a cool dry place.

To use, mix one heaping teaspoon of the scrub with a few drops of warm water at a time to make a moist paste.
Massage paste onto your damp skin, let it sit for a minute, the rinse well with warm water.

Tips & Warnings
This scrub may be used daily.
If you don't use scrubs often (as in once or twice a year,) then store unused
portion in the freezer to prevent the almond powder from going rancid.
Use only high quality ingredients.
Lavender, comfrey, and peppermint have mildly astringent and antibacterial properties.
Lavender essential oil can also help balance your skins oil production.

I usually do just oats and almonds, but this is more "spa" like ! 5*
