Why shouldn't our dogs enjoy the bounty of harvestime with us??
Here's a recipe for PUMPKIN PATCH biscuits that my dog LOVES!!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons of butter flavored shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup solid pack pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk (I use tablsp.vinegar or lemon juice in milk)
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
    Combine flour, cinnamon+ nutmeg and cut in shortening.

  2. Step 2

    Beat egg with milk and pumpkin and combine with four, mixing well. Stir until soft dough forms.

  3. Step 3

    Drop by tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes. Let cool and serve.

Tips & Warnings
  • Our dogs ought to be able to enjoy celebrations with all the family and this is a healthy treat!
  • Be careful that the kids don't scoff them all up on your pooch!
