How to Make Harvest Biscuits for your Dog

Why shouldn't our dogs enjoy the bounty of harvestime with us??
Here's a recipe for PUMPKIN PATCH biscuits that my dog LOVES!!

Difficulty: Easy

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
• 1/2tsp cinnamon
• 4 tablespoons of butter flavored shortening
• 1 egg
• 1 tablspoon brown sugar
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
• 1/2 cup solid pack pumpkin
• 1/2 cup buttermilk (I use tablsp.vinegar or lemon juice in milk)

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
   Combine flour, cinnamon+ nutmeg and cut in shortening.

2. Beat egg with milk and pumpkin and combine with four, mixing well. Stir until soft dough forms.

3. Drop by tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes. Let cool and serve.

Tips & Warnings

• Our dogs ought to be able to enjoy celebrations with all the family and this is a healthy treat!
• Be careful that the kids don't scoff them all up on your pooch!
