      This drill ideally should be performed on a 400m Track, but any place that you can safely sprint will also work.

      Warm up using your normal routine.

      Start at the 100m starting line. Sprint 100m at about 90% speed, when you get to the 100m line, slow and jog back to the 50m line.

      When back to the 50m line, turn and sprint 100m, again try at 90% speed. After 100m, turn and jog back 50m.

      Keep this pattern of 100m sprint forward and 50m jog back until you get back to the place where you started. Its a killer exercise but will make a huge difference in your soccer endurance.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't over do it. Mix it up into your regular training routine, maybe once or twice per week

  • If you get tired, walk instead of job back the 50m.
