Things You'll Need:
- A phonebook
- A blanket
- An airhorn
- Doggie mace
- A Ninja Cat
-
Step 1
First make a loud noise. If you are inside a good way to do this is to drop something heavy like a phonebook. The sudden noise will hopefully startle the dogs and cause them to separate.
-
Step 2
If step 1 fails try throwing a blanket over the dogs' heads. This will confuse them and the may focus on getting out of the blanket rather than fighting.
-
Step 3
If you have tried the first two steps to no avail or if you don't have those items on hand, it is good to carry a small airhorn for just such an occasion, especially if your dog gets into a lot of fights. Blast the airhorn near the dogs, but not too close to their ears.
-
Step 4
For the owner of a dog who is an inveterate fighter or a tempting victim for other dogs, doggie mace is an option. You should carry this with you when you may encounter other dogs and use it as a last resort. It's just like pepper spray for people and will temporarily and safely blind the dog.
-
Step 5
If all else fails, employ the use of a Ninja Cat as pictured above.
