Relieve Heart Palpitations

Over 4 million Americans suffer from heart palpitations and the number is climbing in people of all ages. Causes vary from benign health conditions, stress, and anxiety in these days of war, housing problems, and stock market crashings. Abnormal heart rhythms can arise when the body is not overexerting itself like just when out shopping or even sitting at the computer. These feelings can be so scary that they can send one straight to the ER in a panic. But lots of times, these thoughts are just thoughts. People find that their test results are normal although the annoying, frightening symptoms can continue to occur after this. Thankfully, there are ways to help this condition. They really do help!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • obtain these food and supplements after getting the okay from your physician
  1. Step 1

MAGNESIUM: Many people that are experiencing magnesium depleting palpitations are actually deficient of this essential mineral to begin with. Get more magnesium by eating more cooked spinach, lima beans, pumpkins seeds, high fiber bran cereals, and trail mix. There are great magnesium supplements too.

  2. Step 2

WALNUTS: These little gems are one of the best plant sources of protein and are high in Omega 3 fatty acids -these are the good fats! The FDA recognized nuts and their role in heart disease prevention. Walnuts are one of the favorites in this because they are of the kind that contain less than 4g of saturated fats per 50g. Instead of grabbing those cookies next time -just grab some walnuts. Remember you can dress these guys up in salads and cereals. Did you know walnuts are great on pizza?

  3. Step 3

FISH OIL: Don't worry, it's in a supplement. Fish oil can reduce the plaque in the walls of our arteries and can lower blood pressue due to the high quantities of Omega 3 which is an essential fatty acid with amazing benefits. The best thing is always to try to eat more cold water fish but if that's not for you, then try pharmaceutical grade fish oil supplements.

  4. Step 4

EXERCISE: Just some easy activity on a regular basis. The best is a low intensity aerobic type exercise starting out at short periods gradually increasing by adding on a few minutes each time. I have found 20 minutes on a stationary bike to work well or just take a walk around the neighborhood.

Tips & Warnings
  • Omega 3 fatty acids are essential fatty acids that your body needs in order to function properly.
  • Always consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. Always consult your physician before beginning any vitamin/mineral program.
