It's easy to preview books online. You don't have to go to a library or book store to see if a book is worth purchasing. Use Google Book Search and Amazon.com to see if a book is well-written and worth the purchase price.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • An internet connection
  1. Step 1

    Go to Amazon.com:

    http://www.amazon.com

Find a book on Amazon. Click on the picture to the left of the individual page that shows the book and says "Search Inside!" or "Look Inside!".

You'll be able to read a few pages of these books, and see if the writing style interests you. You may have to log in to Amazon.com in order to use the "Search Inside!" feature.

  2. Step 2

    Go to Google book search.

    http://books.google.com/

You can search inside almost any commercially available book, and read numerous pages.

  3. Step 3

    You get one shot.

When searching inside a book, you get one chance to enter the proper search terms you want to find. Once you go to a certain section of the book, you are blocked from seeing the rest of the book due to copyright restrictions. So make sure you go to the topic in the book that interests your from the beginning.
