How to make homemade party mints.

Homemade party mints can be use for ant occasion birthdays, weddings, holidays etc...

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 14oz can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
  • 1 32oz package confectioner's sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • assorted colored granulated sugar or crystals
  1. Step 1

    In medium bowl, beat condensed milk and half of the package of confectioner' s sugar until blended. Gradually add remaining confectioner' s sugar and peppermint extract, beating until stiff.

  2. Step 2

    Shape mixture into 1/2 inch balls. Roll in desired colored sugar; place on parchment paper. Let stand 8 hours to set. Store covered at room temperature.
    Makes 3 dozen mints

  3. Step 3

    You may instead want to dip uncoated mints in melted bittersweet chocolate. Simply place chocolate in a small microwavable bowl and heat for 60 seconds per oz.

Tips & Warnings
  • We made these for one of my friends wedding; we colored the sugar to match her wedding colors and put them in little favor bags.
