Things You'll Need:
- Blackberry Phone (I'm using an 8330 Curve for this article)
-
Step 1
Press your menu key (the one with the little dots on it).
-
Step 2
Highlight and select the Profiles icon (the one that looks like a speaker).
-
Step 3
Scroll down to and select the Advanced option.
-
Step 4
Select the option that you'd like to start with (i.e. loud, vibrate, quiet, etc.).
-
Step 5
From where you are, you should see Browser, Calendar, Level 1 Messages, etc. Click on the option you'd like to set a ringer for.
-
Step 6
From here, you can select the notifications you'd like to receive for when your phone is in and out of the holster. You can also select the volume, number of times it should beep (or ring) and whether or not you'd like the LED to flash. Be sure to save your selection before exiting this screen!
-
Step 7
Go back to steps 3 or 4 and repeat this process for each alert you'd like to receive. For instance, you can receive one ring tone or alert for SMS (text) messages, a different one for incoming calls, another for Facebook messages, another for email messages (and a different sound for every email account set on your phone), etc.
