Broken Egg

It's happened to all of us, reaching in for the eggs to make our favorite breakfast and BAM, one falls to the floor! Here's an easy way to clean up that mess.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • salt
  • bread
  • dust pan
  1. Step 1

Sprinkle the broken egg with a generous amount of table salt

  2. Step 2

    Wait 10 to 15 minutes

  3. Step 3

The egg will dry up from the salt absorbing it's moisture and easily be swept up with your dust pan.

Tips & Warnings
  • A piece of bread will also work in a pinch, it will sop up the raw egg in a jiffy!

on 1/3/2009 Don't forget, make sure to use some sort of cleaner like bleach after the messy part is gone. Good idea, thanks.

on 11/3/2008 Great tip!!! My 1.5 year old had a great time with the dozen eggs. It took forever to clean up and it was just tough! I wish I had this tip back then! Either way I'm prepared for the next slip-up.
