Tea is a fabulous way to start or end your day

Ever thought losing weight was hard? If you are already a tea drinker (or would like to be one) you will find these easy changes will make your weight go down without much effort.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hot Water
  • Any Awesome Tea (Green Tea, Oolong Tea, Black Tea, Herbal Tea)
  1. Step 1

Think about what kinds of tea you would like and buy a few boxes of different kinds. For example, you might like a hearty English breakfast or earl gray tea with breakfast, but you might like a milder jasmine green tea for the afternoon. Dessert teas for after dinner are especially good for when your sweet tooth hits. Have fun experimenting. There is no guilt when it comes to tea!

  2. Step 2

Replace your daily soda or sugar laced coffee with a couple cups of tea. If you absolutely cannot go without sugar in your tea, see how little you can get away with and still enjoy your tea, or try an artificial sweetener. As an added benefit, green tea is has also be touted as a great metabolism booster, along with many other health benefits.

  3. Step 3

When a sweet tooth hits, try a cut of peach herbal tea, or another favorite fruit tea like blueberry or cherry. These teas can be incredibly flavorful, and can often knock a sugar craving on its butt.

  4. Step 4

For hot days, keep a jug of iced herbal tea in the refrigerator when you are tempted by a soda. It really refreshes you, and rehydrates.

  5. Step 5

Aim for 4-5 cups of tea a day, with three being herbal teas. Your body will love the extra water, and your mind will be tricked into thinking it has been given a treat. Remember, tea is naturally calorie free, so unless you add a ton of sugar, you can drink as much as you want.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to experiment with your teas. What your best friend likes might not be to your taste at all. Find your groove and stick with it.
  • Too much sugar in your tea will totally negate the positive effects of the tea, so watch how much you add. You may just find that less really is more( flavorful, that is).
