Self Esteem issues plague a large percentage of society today, and it's a shame. Some need therapy...some are afraid of being alone. There are steps you can take to get started on the road to a new you. Someone who can love themselves; someone who isn't afraid to be alone, because you can count on you. It's a beautiful feeling when you can finally look in the mirror and realize just how great you are.

Things You'll Need:

  • You!
  • Money...you're not a cheap date, after all. ;)
  1. Step 1

Take yourself out. Whether it's for a quiet meal or a movie you've been dying to see, treat yourself to a friendly night out with the closest person to you...you.

  2. Step 2

Pamper yourself. When times get tough, and you're feeling like you just suck at life, pamper yourself. Draw a relaxing bath, have a glass of wine and just breathe. Believe it or not, you've got it in you to talk yourself through it and relax the stress away. You've gotta know that you're worth it.

  3. Step 3

Tell yourself you're great. Look at yourself in the mirror, smile and tell yourself how beautiful you are! Affirmations are often used in professional therapy sessions, and work more than you may realize! To quote a great SNL character, "You're good enough, you're smart enough...and people like you!"

Tips & Warnings
  • Seek professional help if life is too much to bear. Sometimes all anyone needs is a hand in upping their self esteem.
  • You are completely capable of boosting your self esteem; look to your family and friends for extra support!
  • Self Help books work! A great book to start with: Who Moved My Cheese? by Dr. Spencer Johnson
