How to Make a Special Origami Kawasaki Flower
An origami kawasaki is a very beautiful name for a paper rose. By using different papers and sizes, you can create a stunning bouquet as a decoration or as a gift to someone special. All you need is the ability to fold paper.

1
Take a square sheet of paper and fold it into an accordion from one end to the other using four folds. Unfold the accordion and repeat this process going the other direction. When you are finished, you will have a grid pattern made by the creases.
-
2
Fold the paper diagonally so that you have a triangle. It does not matter which end you use, since the goal is to have the angles be the same from all perspectives. Unfold and repeat this step with the opposite set of edges. Note that your grid pattern will have an “X” in the middle. Fold the creases of the “X” together and hold it.

3
Flatten the square of paper while turning the entire piece counter clockwise. This should allow for the paper to fold into itself thanks to the grid pattern you created in the first step.
-
4
Turn the paper over and fold the center of one side over so that it makes a 90-degree fold and touches the vertical line adjacent to it. Repeat this step on the remaining three sides of the square. At this point you should see the rough shape of a rose.

5
Pull the pedals outward so that the rose is more defined. Press down the center of the flower down gently. Finally, fold the bottom four pieces into each other in order to create a flat surface for the rose to set.

6
Paint the pedals on the rose to add special colorful effects to your origami kawasaki flower.
