The city of Chicago is known for many things, including its unique cuisine. Chicago has several eateries that will satisfy the most selective of palates. If seeing the top of the Sears Tower and shopping until you drop at Marshall Field's isn't really your cup of tea, then read on. Here we will show you how to create an eating tour of Chicago.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make a trip to 17 W. Adams street to the famous Berghoff. This was the first restaurant/bar to open up after the prohibition on alcohol was lifted. the menu is quite eclectic, with a unique blend of old and new. Among the most famous and must-haves is their creamed spinach.

  2. Step 2

Meet some of Chicago's local celebrities at the Billy Goat Tavern at 430 Michigan Ave. Several of the reporters from the "Chicago Tribune" and "Chicago Sun-Times" make this their regular lunchtime stop. It is also rumored that this is the tavern that John Belushi's famous "Saturday Night Live" Cheeseburger skit was based.

  3. Step 3

Seeing some of the nightlife in Chicago may lead you into Mike's Rainbow Restaurant located at 708 N. Clark St. It's nothing fancy, but offers huge portions for low prices. It is a favorite among the Chicago police department and cab companies. It's also a great place to eat if you're on a budget.

  4. Step 4

Sample the deep dish pizza. Take a healthy appetite, as one piece is usually enough to fill you up. Pizzeria Uno at 29 E. Ohio Street is one of the most highly recommended; this is where the concept of the deep dish pizza was created. Gino's East is also another excellent choice. There's something unique about this establishment: You are allowed to write on the walls while you wait. Gino's is located at 633 N. Wells Street.
