How to Place Double Arrows at Both Ends of the Mac OS X Scroll Bar

Double Arrows in Mac OS X Windows

Increase your productivity with double arrows in all of your application windows. You’ll no longer have to move your mouse to the top of the page to move your documents up or to the page bottom to scroll your document down. Double-arrow scrolling works for moving left and right in documents, too.

Things You'll Need

• Mac OS X Leopard
• Terminal application

Instructions

1. 

   Find your Terminal application (located in your Applications/Utilities directory) and double click to launch it.

2. 

   In your Terminal application enter the following command:defaults write "Apple Global Domain" AppleScrollBarVariant DoubleBoth

3. Log out of your Mac OS X session and log in again or restart your computer to see the changes.
