Take at least 3 to 4 snapshots of your child. Be sure to have at least one full body shot, one head shot and one profile shot. These are the three that most agencies require to see. The pictures can be regular snapshots that you take yourself. Simply make encough copies to send to each agency on your list.

Draft a short, simple cover note explaining who your son is. Include information about his statistics such as height, weight and age. Do not write a long letter hoping to win agents over. Short and concise letters are warmly received and greatly appreciated.

Visit online Websites that allow you to submit your child online to agencies. This site will also allow you to create a list of agents that will require hard copy submissions. Be wary of purchasing mailing labels. It's cheaper and easier to write out the addresses by hand.

Address envelopes to the agencies who you have marked for your mailings. Make sure they are local. Most agencies will not make an appointment with you if you are more than an hour away.

In each envelope, put your letter and snapshots. Seal, stamp and send it off. Be patient. It may take some agencies months to respond.
