Things You'll Need:
- Microwavable container
-
Step 1
Place the hamburger in a durable microwavable container that has the capacity to withstand the grease.
-
Step 2
Do not tightly cover the hamburger. Give it room to breathe, to release the gases that will occur while it is cooking.
-
Step 3
Place the cooking temperature on medium. Cooking hamburger at a high heat will cause its outer parts to become overdone and dry out. Cooking the hamburger at a high temperature too quickly can also leave the inside of the meat too raw.
-
Step 4
Add salt and other seasonings to the hamburger before cooking it. This will allow the seasonings to penetrate the meat and give it a well-balanced flavor. If you wait until after the meat is cooked, the seasonings will predominate and overpower the hamburger.
-
Step 5
Add additional sauces (other than seasonings) after the meat is 75 percent cooked. This will prevent the sauce from drying out and the hamburger from being undercooked. The additional time will allow the sauces to blend with the seasonings in the hamburger.
