Things You'll Need:
- Empty cardboard 1/2-gallon milk carton
- Scissors
- Large wiggly craft eyes
- Large red pom pom or button
- Brown craft paint
- Brown craft foam
- Black marker
- Red ribbon or a medium sized red craft bow (optional)

Step 1
Use scissors to cut the top 1/3 off of a cardboard 1/2-gallon milk carton. You need to use the cardboard milk cartons because they are the ones that will leave you with a straight rectangular shape when the top is cut off. You could substitute a plastic milk carton if you needed to.

Step 2
Wash the empty milk carton out well with soap and water, and dry it completely.

Paint the entire outside of the empty milk carton brown with craft paint, and let it dry before moving on to the next step.

Glue two wiggly craft eyes onto the front of the painted milk carton, and leave plenty of room for a nose and mouth as well.

Attach a large red pom pom or button to the front of the milk carton with glue.

Step 6
Use a black marker to draw a mouth onto the front of the reindeer's face below the red nose. You can make a simple smiley face mouth if you don't know how to make a fancier one.

Step 7
Draw the outline of two antlers onto brown craft foam and cut them out. If you don't know how to draw antlers, maple leaves from the yard make a great template.

Step 8
Apply the antlers to the back of the milk carton with glue. Make sure that one antler is on each side of the reindeer's head and that they are sticking straight up.

Step 9
Cut a thin 8 to 12 inch strip out of the brown craft foam. Glue it to each side of the inside of the milk carton. You only need to do this if you want to make a handle for carrying your milk carton reindeer. If you don't want to make a handle, or if you will be using your reindeer as a planter, you can skip this step.
