Sprinkle some baking soda onto your toothpaste before brushing. The mixture will help remove plaque which will make your teeth cleaner and shiner. Brush for about 2 minutes. Do not use this mixture daily.

    • 2

Combine the following ingredients in a bowl: 1 tbsp. of baking soda, a dab of salt and 3 drops of white vinegar. The mixture will begin foaming. Apply the mixture to your teeth. Allow it to set for about 2 minutes. Rinse the mixture off and then brush as you would normally.

    • 3

Rub a strawberry across your teeth. Brush immediately afterward.

    • 4

Brush your teeth with a little bit of salt. Just apply the salt to your toothbrush and brush as you would normally. Follow up by brushing your teeth with your normal toothbrush.

    • 5

Wash your mouth with hydrogen peroxide (2 or 3 percent solution) and an equal amount of water.

    • 6

Gargle with apple cider vinegar once a day. This will help remove tartar build up and plaque.

Tips & Warnings

  • By brushing your teeth with salt, you are not only helping your teeth to become whiter, you are helping to wash away any extra germs.

  • Eat crunchy fruits and vegetables such as apples, carrots and celery. Along with the saliva in our mouth, these fruits and vegetables can help wash away stain-causing bacteria.

  • The strawberries will remove stains from the teeth because they are acid based. This means they can cause sensitivity problems if used frequently, and can also cause your enamel to become thin. Do not use strawberries as a whitener on a regular basis.

  • When using a hydrogen peroxide rinse in your mouth, be careful not to swallow any. If you do, contact the poison control immediately for advice.
