As once said "Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise." by the great Benjamin Franklin. How true is it today? Most people today sleep after 12 midnight and wake up after 9AM. This is not only a bad habit, but it makes one tired, not able to think clearly, and financially poor.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A will to change & improve
  1. Step 1

Prepare your mentality by deciding that you're going to fall asleep before 12AM (midnight) and wake up before 6AM no matter what.

  2. Step 2

Set an alarm clock to wake up a time before 6AM, say 5AM and wake up at that time. After you wake up do not go back to sleep or take naps during the day. This will tire you out for this first day, but don't worry things will work out.

  3. Step 3

Prepare yourself for bed whether showering, brushing/flossing your teeth, eating, etc. a couple hours before 12AM. You should now feel pretty tired b/c of waking up that early.

  4. Step 4

Do a bedtime ritual to help you fall asleep by 12AM such as meditating, stretching, or reading. Do not do aerobic or cardio exercises at this time. Those should be done in the early morning when you wake up.

  5. Step 5

Repeat steps 1-5 for 30 days straight and your sleep will become a habit and automatic.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be persistent
  • Be determined
  • Enjoy life
