How to Rent Horses at Griffith Park

Living in the big city of Los Angeles, sometimes a person starts longing for the country. It's relaxing to get away from the rat race of the city and going on a leisurely guided trail ride in beautiful Griffith Park. You can bond with the horses and feel more connected to the ground and nature by letting these four-legged beauties spirit you away to another world. Most people who rent horses are first-time riders, so you won't have to feel intimidated by the strength of the horses or the complexities of mastering a few hours in the saddle. You'll have competent guides and (usually) gentle mounts. Here are a few places to try.

Come prepared. Wear comfortable pants. While jeans are traditional, make sure they are loose and comfy. You don't want tight clothing when you're sitting on a horse. Your thighs will have enough trouble when you try to get off after riding.

Great for groups of friends who love horses, or want to try something different together. Call (323) 449-5450. Dinner rides start at $60.
