How to Use Stationary in Mac OS X Mail

With Mac OS X Leopard you can send HTML-rich email with just a few clicks. There is no need to know how to edit HTML when you use the graphic and text templates that come standard with Mac OS X Leopard. Follow a few guidelines to use decorative stationary in Mac OS X Mail

  1. Step 1

    Launch "Mail," which is located in your Applications directory, and select your email account in the left hand column of Mail.

    Click "New Message."

    Click “New Message” from the mail toolbar or “File-New Message” in the Finder File Menu.

    Click “Show Stationary” in the top right-hand corner of the Mail toolbar. If you don’t see the “Show Stationary” icon, “ctrl-click” on the toolbar and select “Customize Toolbar” to show the menu icons that are available for Mail. Click and drag the “Show Stationary" icon to your toolbar and click “Done.”

    Locate the new pane in your Mail window just below the address bar that appeared after clicking on “Show Stationary." Click on the stationary template you wish to use and it will automatically fill your Mail message pane.

    Customize your HTML stationary mail by dragging and dropping in photos from the “Photo Browser,” available in the toolbar. The “Photo Browser" automatically links to your iPhoto library. Fill in your custom text to complete your email. Address and send your email.
