How to Find Horse Property in Los Angeles
-
1
The biggest horse area of Los Angeles is the city of Burbank. Check out the Burbank Leader newspaper, or Burbank realty offices online that specialize in equestrian homes. Both houses, apartments and condos are available around the Los Angeles Equestrian Center that cater to buyers (or even renters) with horses.

2
Pick up some free equine newspapers at DaMoor's feed store or Stephen's Hay and Grain in Burbank. Check out their bulletin boards for property listings. You might want to cruise the streets yourself, looking at "for sale" signs, to find an area that strikes your fancy. Most signs will indicate "horse stable" on the property.

Check out Shadow Hills, Lakeview Terrace, Tujunga and Kagel Canyon, just 10 minutes northeast of Burbank. These are the next prime areas of concentrated horse properties in Los Angeles. Check the signs on sale properties to find a Realtor who specializes in these sales.

4
Stop in at East Valley Feed and Tack to see its bulletin board if you're looking for a horse property rental in the Shadow Hills, Lakeview Terrace and Kagel Canyon areas.

Topanga, Malibu and Chatsworth are farther west, but also prime horse areas. Simi Valley, Valencia and Canyon Country are just outside Los Angeles on Interstate 5 and have much more land to offer (with a longer drive into the city). Again, you can contact mainstream realty companies (like Coldwell or Prudential) that specialize in equine properties, or do an equine property search online for the city you're interested in. But ultimately it'll be your visit to the city itself that will give you a feel for the streets and neighborhoods.
