You can experiment with different ways of viewing your iTunes catalog. You can select one of three options to view your iTunes library. Certain views can be more helpful than others, depending on what you are looking for or what you are trying to showcase.

Instructions

    • 1
      iTunes Cover Flow View

Open your iTunes application. If you have a Mac, it's accessed through your dock. If you have a PC, it's accessed through the icon on your desktop or from the start menu.

      iTunes List View

Select "View" and "List View" from the iTunes navigation bar to view your library as a list. In this format, there isn't any artwork taking up the larger screen. Your view is directly limited to a listing of your entire iTunes catalog.

    • 3
      iTunes Cover Flow View

Select "View" and "Cover Flow View" to view your library in a more visual manner. This is a more dynamic way to look through your library. From this format, you can pick songs by scrolling through the list, or you can use the scroll bar under the album covers to flip through your music.

    • 4
      iTunes Album View

Coose "View" and "Album View" to view the album art with an individual artist's work grouped together. This format allows you to see the varying songs/CDs grouped together.

Tips & Warnings

  • In the Cover Flow View mode, you can press the button to the right of the cover scroll bar to view the artwork on a full screen. To return to the smaller screen, press the button again or press the "Esc" button.

  • Instead of clicking "File" and "View Change," there is another one-step way of toggling between views: Look to the top of your iTunes screen and to the left of the Search box. The three square buttons above the word "VIEW" offer a one-click ability to change your view. The first button is the "List View," the second is the "Album View" and the third is the "Cover Flow View."
