Things You'll Need:
- Lightbulb
- Brown craft paint
- Paintbrush
- Red button
- Wiggly craft eyes
- Black craft paint
- Brown craft foam sheets
- Scissors
- Red and green ribbon
-
Step 1
Paint the entire surface of a lightbulb with brown craft paint. If there are still unpainted sections showing once the first layer of paint has dried, apply a second layer to completely cover the lightbulb.
-
Step 2
Draw two antler shapes into a piece of brown craft foam. If you need a template, a maple leaf from the yard works well as an antler shape.
-
Step 3
Cut out the two antler shapes with scissors.
-
Step 4
Hold the lightbulb upside down with the thinest part pointing upwards, and glue the two antlers onto the back of the lightbulb near the top, with one on each side of the lightbulb.
-
Step 5
Paint a thin mouth onto the front of the lightbulb with black craft paint. The mouth should be near the very bottom of the lightbulb.
-
Step 6
Apply a red button to the front of the lightbulb above the painted mouth, to serve as the reindeer's nose. The nose should be centered onto the lightbulb, and should leave plenty of room for the eyes to be applied to the wider part of the bulb.
-
Step 7
Use glue to attach two wiggly craft eyes to the front of the lightbulb reindeer ornament.
-
Step 8
Tie or glue a red ribbon onto the top of the reindeer to use as a hanger for the ornament (see Resources).
