Things You'll Need:
- Large craft stick
- Craft glue
- Brown craft paint
- Paintbrush
- Brown pipe cleaners
- Scissors
- Small red button
- Tiny red craft bow
- 2 wiggly craft eyes
-
Step 1
Paint the front and back of the entire craft stick with brown craft paint. Let the paint dry completely before moving on to the next step.
-
Step 2
Glue two tiny wiggly craft eyes to the front of the painted craft stick. The eyes should be placed towards the top of one end.
-
Step 3
Use glue to attach a small red button to the craft stick below the two wiggly craft eyes. This will be the reindeer's nose, and should be centered on the craft stick.
-
Step 4
Attach a tiny red craft bow to the front of the craft stick an inch or two below the nose. This will give your reindeer a little more color and decoration.
-
Step 5
Cut two brown pipe cleaners into a 3-inch piece and three small pieces. This will divide each pipe cleaner into four different pieces.
-
Step 6
Twist two of the smaller pipe cleaner pieces around the 3-inch piece. They should be twisted around so that they are secured tot he larger 3-inch piece, but so that one end sticks out on each side of the 3-inch section. These attached pipe cleaner pieces will form the antlers of your craft stick reindeer, so try to achieve two antler shapes, one from each cut up pipe cleaner.
-
Step 7
Apply glue to the top of the craft stick in the back, behind the reindeer's face. Press the two antler shapes into the glue, and make one antler stick out on each side of the craft stick.
-
Step 8
Glue two little pieces of brown pipe cleaner to the very bottom of the craft stick, one on each side. These will form the hooves of your reindeer, and can be bent slightly for a better effect.
-
Step 9
Dab a dot of glue onto the very top of the craft stick reindeer, on the back of its head, and attach a piece of ribbon or string. This will serve as the hanger for your craft stick reindeer ornament. Visit the resource below for more unique reindeer crafts.
