Complete the adoption application. Most Bichon Frise rescue organizations require to fill out an extensive questionnaire. Expect to answer questions about your home, family, employment situation, other pets, your history with dogs and your reasons for rescuing a Bichon Frise. Prepare a list of personal references as well as a list of your veterinarians and dog groomers. Attend a face-to-face interview with a rescue organization representative, if the rescue organization requires it.

Step 3
Pay the adoption fee. Many rescue organizations require you to cover the expenses that the dog incurred while in the care of the rescue organization. This typically includes the cost of food, related supplies, medical expenses, spaying or neutering and micro-chipping. Give the rescue organization an additional donation of food, supplies or money, if you wish to support their continued work.

Ask her how to prevent common health problems including skin allergies, bladder infections and ear infections. Talk to your groomer about how to maintain your dog's coat.
