Instructions

  1. How to Draw Miles Tails Prower

    • 1

Choose a pose for Tails before you begin drawing. For simplicity, let's have Tails facing forward and waving. Set the basic building blocks for this drawing with a few simple shapes. Draw a circle for the head.

    • 2

Add a long football shape for the torso. Create his legs, arms and two tails with simple lines. Later, we will go back and add in more shape to the drawing. Draw flat ovals for the base of each glove and a large oval for each hand. Repeat this for the socks and shoes. Make sure the shoes are long and come to a rough point.

    • 3

Add some long triangles for the ears and a football shape in the center of the face for the mouth. Draw an upside down triangle for the nose. On the side of the face, add in a rectangular shape that's wider on the outside and narrower as it gets closer to the face. Simply draw two long upside down "U" shapes for his eyes. The tails themselves can be created by making parallel wavy shaped lines. Round this line off with some spiked points to show the fur tuft of his fox tails.

    • 4

Flesh out the details. Add jagged shapes on the facial fur to make it look more like a fox's face. Add three bangs on top of his head. Add a triangle for the inner ear. Add ovals to his eyes for pupils. Add a curved oval for the mouth. Add another oval with jagged lines inside his chest. Do this on the top left and right for his chest fur. Add thumbs with small ovals on to his gloves.

    • 5

Trace around the areas you want to keep. Add another dark circle in each pupil, darken the nose and add jagged lines near the end of each tail. Some shadows can be added where the tail meets the torso, underneath the chin and around the gloves.

    • 6

Add four lines to separate the fingers so that you can see that Tails is waving. Darken the mouth and leave a little bit of white space for his tongue. Let the ink dry. Erase all of the pencil lines.

    • 7

Hang this on your wall, but be careful, Tails is fast. He just might run off!

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to wait until after the ink has dried before you erase your pencil lines, or you will smudge your picture.
