How to Create a Simple Carpet Using Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop includes a multitude of filters that can be used to render various textures with ease. Filters like the clouds filter and the noise filter can create randomness in the image that reflects the randomness of the texture you are working with.

Things You'll Need:

• Adobe Photoshop CS

1. 

   Run the clouds filter.

2. 

   Add noise with the maximum setting.

3. 

   Repeat Step 2.

4. 

   Go to hue/saturation and click colorize. Choose any hue and saturation.

Tips & Warnings

• Play around with the brush and smudge tools to try to give the carpet more details that might make the carpet appear more realistic.
