How to Watch a Movie Cheaply in New York City

Everything is expensive in New York. A movie date for you and your significant other could cost around $25, and that's not even including snacks you may buy while at the theater. As with anything in New York, there are deals available which will save you money--you just have to know where you find them.

Enjoy a movie at Bryant Park for free. Classic movies are shown on a large screen in the park once a week during the summer. You won't see the recent summer blockbuster there, but classic films such as "Dr. No" and "Superman" are shown. Watching a movie in Bryant Park while laying on a blanket with your significant other is something anybody living in New York should experience.
