Step 1
Blow up a balloon as big as you want your turkey's body to be. It doesn't matter what color the balloon is because you are going to paint it. Tie a knot at the end of your balloon.

Blow up a second balloon for the head. You don't want this one to be as big as the first one. You should tie a knot at the end of the balloon when it gets as big as a turkey head. You will have some extra hanging over the spot that you tied, but that is a good thing. Remember, you will be painting the head, so the color of the balloon doesn't matter.

Step 3
Tie a red balloon--without blowing it up--to the piece of the turkey head that is hanging over the knot. This red balloon then becomes the turkey's whittle.

Tape the head to the top of the turkey's body. Use a strong tape like masking tape.

Cut out some turkey feet from the cardboard. Make sure the feet are a good size so they can hold up the turkey. Tape the feet to the bottom of the balloon body. Again, use a heavy tape.

Paint your turkey. Do this any way you like with some paints and a paintbrush. Try to stick to turkey colors, such as brown, yellow, orange and red. Don't forget to the give the turkey some eyes.

Step 7
Wait for the paint to dry and attach a few feathers with some glue. You can scatter them around or just use them in the back of the turkey. Just dab the glue down the vein of the feather and press on to the balloon.

Step 8
Allow the glue to dry and place the turkey in the middle of your children's table.
