Each of the main characters in the PC role-playing game Baldur's Gate 2 will get you entangled in numerous side quests that do not affect the main storyline. The druid named Jaheira will meet an enemy from her past who will place a powerful and deadly curse upon her. Unless you remove the curse, she will eventually become too weak to continue traveling with your party.

Instructions

    • 1
      Jaheira

      Free Jaheira from the cell she is trapped inside at the beginning of the game and ask her to join the party. Escape from the dungeon that you and Jaheira both woke up inside at go to the city of Athkatla.

      The Docks District

      Travel to the Docks District and go inside the Sea's Bounty Tavern at the base of the large staircase. Watch a short scene where Jaheira's old enemy Baron Ployer will show up and put a curse on her.

      The Slums District

      Leave the Docks District and walk to the Slums District. Speak with the owner of the Copper Coronet tavern, who will tell the party that Ployer is staying in a run down shack to the east.

      Outside Ployer's Home

      Go inside Baron Ployer's home and confront him about the curse. Eventually he will summon in several wizards to help him fight your party.

      Jaheira's Hair

      Kill Baron Ployer and his associates and then take the lock of Jaheira's hair found on Ployer's corpse. Rest at an inn or tavern with the lock of hair in your inventory to remove the curse.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can make the battle with Ployer easier by traveling to the Government District and speaking with the wizard named Terrece. He is in league with Ployer and will send three wizards to help him kill you. However, if you pay him 1,000 gold pieces he will renege on his deal with Ployer and keep his wizards from joining the battle.

  • Jaheira will become increasingly weak and less useful in combat for every day that passes that she does not remove the curse.
