How to Embed a Picasa Slideshow into a Personal Blogthumbnail

Picasa is Google's free photo software. With Picasa, you can organize, edit and share your pictures. They have recently updated their features so that you can take a Picasa slideshow and embed it into your own blog. Each slideshow features built-in playback controls, size options, and the ability to display captions.

        Sign into your Gmail account. You need a Gmail account to set up an account on Picasa Web Albums and upload photos.

        Click "Photos" at the top left of the Google navigation tool bar. You should then be directed to your Picasa "dashboard" which features all of your listed and unlisted photo galleries. Select the album you'd like to use as a slideshow.

        From the right panel, click "Link to this album." Underneath that, a link for "Embed Slideshow" should appear.

        Choose size of slideshow

        Click on "Embed Slideshow" and the Picasa software creates a Flash slideshow from the pictures within that album. Anytime the album is added to or edited, the changes are automatically reflected in your slideshow. Choose one of the five options for the size of your slideshow.

        Slideshow picture

        Copy the HTML code that Picasa displays, and then paste that into your blog or myspace page.
