Things You'll Need:
- Computer
- Internet access

Brainstorm your website's name, focus and keywords. You'll want to choose terms and topics that people are searching for, that relate directly to your business and will rank well in the search engines.
-
Step 2
Choose your domain name, after careful research of your your main keywords. Using your business name may be a good idea if you are a local business building name recognition, but using top keywords is preferred for most online ventures.

Step 3
Begin building your website, starting with your main page and About page. Then start on your second tier and third tier pages, creating each around a researched keyword combination pertaining to your business.
-
Step 4
Determine your monetization models for your business website. Will you simply use your site to drive traffic to your local offline business? Are you selling items through your website, or will you market affiliate products through links and promotions? Will you make use of Google adwords or other ad networks to bring in more revenue?

on 12/30/2008 I agree... domain name is key. The website design can change but you'll have the domain name forever! Choose wisely:) I have a nice website thanks to NoHassleSites.com!

on 10/9/2008 Having a website in business is no longer optional. Often times in researching products or services, I will completely pass over the companies with no info online because it's not as convenient. The other important aspect is that the website be QUALITY...companies also lose a lot of my business if their website is crappy...why am I going to buy product X from you if this is the display of quality that you are first presenting me with?
Good Tips.
