Use mothballs if you can tolerate the smell. Place a few mothballs in every drawer, and in between wool blankets and sweaters in storage.

Use cedar storage boxes. Cedar linings in chests and drawers repel the moth larvae that want to eat your woolen goods.

Inspect your blankets in storage every few years. If you see any signs of moth damage, remove them from the area, clean them, and place them in a more secure location.

Use air-sealed plastic storage bags. With the air removed, these bags compact clothes and blankets. They also make it impossible for larvae to infest your blankets and wool sweaters.
