If you want to stop overspending today, a realistic budget is you best option against overspending. If you find yourself spending more than you are able to save and can afford, its time to make a budget. If you don't know how to make one, don't worry you are not alone. Thousands of persons do not know how to make a budget and stick with it. Here are tips on how to make a budget.

  1. Step 1

    Set a realistic goal. A realistic goal is one that can be achieve. In everything in life you need to set a goal, a budget is no different. A goal will make you see what you need to achieve and if you have achieve it.

  2. Step 2

    Set your paraties straight. You need to choose the things that are most important and focus on those first.

  3. Step 3

    Know your limits. You need to know the amount of money you are expecting and the amount you have and starts from there on.

  4. Step 4

    Make a list of the things you'll need to focus on for the coming month, year or week.

  5. Step 5

    Prepare your budget so that incase of emergencies you'll have little to take care of it. Things do happen so be prepare.

  6. Step 6

    No matter what stick with your budget. At times you might see some things that you want to buy that weren't in your initial budget, if it can be avoided until another time, make it stay until you can buy it.

  • At times you might feel like you want to deviate from it, but if you want to save and take care of the things that are 'more important', you should stick with it.
