The U.S.Government auctions off surplus property at State and Local Government auctions.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet
  1. Step 1

    Items for sale may include: Cars, boats, tools, trailers, computers, office furniture.

  2. Step 2

    Log onto http://www.usa.gov/shopping/shopping.shtml

  3. Step 3

    Then click on "State and Local Surplus Property Sales"

  4. Step 4

    Locate the State you are interested in and click one of the links below that State.

  5. Step 5

    You will now see specific information for that State on public auctions and what property is available.

Tips & Warnings
  • Some States allow for sealed bids so that you do not have to actually attend the auction
