Things You'll Need:
- An apron
- baking dish or casserole dish
- a large bowl
- a medium bowl
- a large pot
- a medium pot
- a large spoon
- a fork
- 1 lb.(16 oz.) of macaroni elbow noodles
- 1&1/2 lbs. of kraft medium cheese
- 2&1/2 cups of whole milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of butter/magarine
- 1/2 teaspoon of cooking oil
- 1/2 cup of flour

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375/400 degrees. Grate your 1&1/2 lbs. cheese in a large bowl.

Take your large pot and add 6 cups of water to it. Place the pot on your stove and allow your water to boil.

While your water is boiling, take your medium bowl and place the egg in it. Take your fork and whisk the egg. In the same bowl also add in the milk, flour, and butter/magerine. Stir your ingredients to lightly blend.

Add your noodles to the boiling water and a drop of cooking oil, to keep them from sticking together. Let your noodles boil for about 11 min.

Take your medium pot and place it on the stove over medium-low heat. Pour your ingredients into the pot from your medium bowl. Using your large spoon, stir the ingredients while it is heating. Let the butter/magarine melt and flour blend into the ingredients for about 2 to 5 min. Do not let it come to a complete boil. Remove the pot from the stove.

Drain your noodles after cooking them 11 min. Pour the drained noodles in your baking dish or casserole bowl. Add in 1 lb. of your grated cheese. Mix the cheese in with your hot noodles using your large spoon. Add the ingredients from your medium pot into your baking dish/casserole bowl. Continue to mix the ingredients.

After mixing ingredients in the baking dish/casserole bowl, pour your other 1/2 lb. of grated cheese on top of your ingredients. Distribute your cheese throughout the baking dish/casserole bowl. Place the dish in a preheat oven at about 375/400 degrees. Allow it to bake for about 15 to 25 min.

After baking, remove the dish from the oven and allow it to cool for about 10 to 15 min.

You have successfully cooked an homemade Macaroni& cheese!

on 10/19/2008 Wow, this makes a ton of mac-n-cheese. I usually just take the noodles, get them ready, add a bit of butter and melt in the cheese.
