These are simple directions to make a Fresh Fruit Kabob. Great appetizer for guests.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 24 bamboo skewers
  • 12 oz bananas, sliced
  • 12 oz fresh strawberries, halved
  • 12 oz pineapple chunks
  • 12 oz cantaloupe chunks
  • 12 oz honeydew melon chunks
  • 1 3/4 cup nonfat yogurt
  • 1 3/4 cup lowfat cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup pureed pears
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  1. Step 1
     

    Prepare all fruit.

  2. Step 2
     

    Dip banana slices into lemon water to prevent discoloration.

  3. Step 3
     

    Arrange fruit in alternating fashion, onto skewers. 2 1/2 ounces fruit per skewer.

  4. Step 4
     

    Make dip from yogurt, cottage cheese, honey, lemon jice, pureed pears, cinnamon and salt. To prepare dip, combin all ingredients, mixing thoroughly. Cover and chill.

Tips & Warnings
  • Makes 12 servings, 2 skewers of fruit and 2 ounces of dip each.
