How to make pumpkin butter

My friend Dawn sent me this recipe, and it seemed to fit this time of year since fall is here and Halloween is right around the corner, so, I thought I would share it with everyone.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 (29 oz.) can pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup apple juice
  • 2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • Lg. sauce pan
  • canning jars

    Combine pumpkin, apple juice, spices, and sugar in a large saucepan.

  2. Step 2

    Stir well.

  3. Step 3

    Bring mixture to a boil.

  4. Step 4

    Reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes or until thickened.

    Stir frequently.

    Spoon hot pumpkin mixture into hot jars, filling to within 1/4 inch from top.

  7. Step 7

    Remove air bubbles; wipe jar rims.

  8. Step 8

    Cover at once with metal lids, and screw on bands.

  9. Step 9

    Process in boiling hot water.
