on 9/17/2008 Great article. You have to be a special person to do this job. Not only the fact that you will be dealing with life and death situations but what caused the situation to begin with. For example, arriving on a scene where a child is fighting for life only to discover the reason is because of abuse, drunk driving, etc., my initial reaction would be to kill the SOB that caused it. EMT's, firefighters, police, and military are the true heroes in our nation! Next time you see one, let them know how much they are appreciated.
