Step 1
Find good Vegan recipes in a cookbook. There are so many varieties of cookbooks to choose from. Most cookbooks will have a handful of vegan recipes within their pages, even if they're not specifically dedicated to vegan dishes. However, cookbooks have now been published that are solely dedicated to vegan cuisines. If you aren’t sure what you want and don’t have time to visit a retail establishment, you can find an ample vegan recipe book list online (see Resources below).
-
Step 2
Find good vegan recipes on the Internet. There are literally hundreds of sites to choose from (see Resources below).
-
Step 3
Entertain the possibility of getting CD-ROM cookbooks. If storage is an issue and you don't have room to store a ton of cookbooks, consider purchasing a few cookbook CD-ROMs. They are easy to store and you won't have to worry about pages being worn damaged from continual use. "Vegetarian Delights" is a CD-ROM cookbook that can be purchased at retail stores such as Best Buy and Fry’s Electronics. If you like ethnic food, "The Best of Indian Vegetarian Cooking" CD-ROM can be ordered online by going to the World Languages website (see Resources below). The downside to using CD-ROMs is that you will need to either memorize the cooking instructions, write them down on a separate sheet of paper or print them out on a printer. You can always make yourself a binder and start your own personal recipe cookbook.

Step 4
Find good vegan recipes at your local library. There should be many books in the food section, and the media section should have a few DVD and CD-ROM vegan recipe books. Ask your library attendant if you need help. You can jot down your favorite recipes before your return them, and it won't cost you one cent.

Step 5
Get great vegan recipes by visiting your local used bookstore. Many folks will sell their cookbooks, and recipes to these establishments. The positive side to attaining recipes from these resources is that are tried and true recipes from folks who have already tested them for you. Check your local phone book or do a local search on the Internet for used bookstores.
