Make a Tree Mosaic

A tree mosaic is a great project to do with your students in the fall. We did this project while our school was planting 18 trees on campus. Here is how it's done.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Draw the outline of the picture on the paper (if the kids are small) with a white crayon.

  2. Step 2

Use any school white glue--do not use glue sticks; they will not hold the construction paper.

  3. Step 3

Place the glue on the paper for the kids and do not do the whole paper, just small portions at a time.

  4. Step 4

Have the kids work in groups of five or six at a table.

  5. Step 5

Give the kids a handful of construction paper squares and they will create beautiful pictures.
