Put your purse away, invite some friends over, and let the inexpensive fun begin with a home pedicure!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • acetone nail polish remover
  • toenail clipper
  • file
  • large bowl (big enough for your feet to fit in)
  • bath salts or Epsom salt
  • cuticle remover
  • exfoliating foot scrub or pumice stone
  • foot cream or lotion
  • favorite polish
  • clear polish (top coat)
  1. Step 1

Remove any polish on your toenails.

  2. Step 2

Cut nails straight across to just above the skin to avoid in-grown toenails. Don't let nails extend over the tip of your toe!!! Yuck!

  3. Step 3

Fill a large bowl with warm water and add salts of your choice. Let your feet soak for about 10-15 minutes. If your feet are severely cracked and dry, allow more soaking time!

  4. Step 4

Use cuticle cutters to trim the cuticle. (Oil may be applied first to soften the cuticle.)

  5. Step 5

Apply an exfoliating foot scrub or use a wet pumice stone to remove any dead skin the heels and balls of your feet. (Make sure not to rub super hard! You only want to remove the dead skin not remove all the skin! Don't rub until your skin in red! This means you have over done it!)
Wash off excess in water bowl.

  6. Step 6

After foot is dry, apply your favorite foot cream or moisturizing lotion to the feet, in between the toes, and calves.

  7. Step 7

Polish your toes with your favorite color and let dry thoroughly. (You can even use a toe separator if you want to get fancy!)

  8. Step 8

After polish is dry, apply thin layer of top coat and dry again. Don't you feel refreshed now!?
