Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Time
  • Patience
  1. Step 1

Decide on a location: If you know how many people are planning on attending, then finding a location is relatively simple. For a large gathering you can use your own house. Using a "free" location will save you hundreds of dollars.

  2. Step 2

If you want to use a venue try a hotel or golf club that has facilities and will be able to provide catering.

  3. Step 3

Choose the menu: If you are having it catered at a facility, these places will offer tasting and buffets. The buffets are usually unlimited and your guest will have plenty of food. These facilities will often do the set-up, clean-up, and place the decorations as long as you tell them what you want.

  4. Step 4

Enlist the help of your daughter's friends and their parents. Making her sweet sixteen special is not something that is easy to do alone. Her friends can be in charge of decorations, and some of their mothers may help you prepare a menu and foods.

  5. Step 5

Do anything that you can yourself. Keeping things simple adds a little classy look. Get string lights to hang in the back yard and using a single long stem rose, or flower of choice will enhance this look.
