live Barefoot.

Barefoot living is not only a lot more comfortable than wearing shoes, it also can cure foot problems and is the natural way for humans to walk. Do you think the first people wore shoes? No!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Feet
  1. Step 1

Bare foot living is a lot more healthy than wearing shoes because it allows feet to grow the way they normally would. It also prevents foot conditions like bunions and athletes foot because feet can breath and are not rubbing in shoes. when walking barefoot it is impotent to walk correctly to avoid pain. Put the weight on the pads of your feet up in the front and under the toes, not your heels. there should be almost no weight on heels during everyday walking.

  2. Step 2

The first step is simply to take off shoes in your house and car. Driving barefoot is a lot more comfortable and can make driving a stick shift easier as you can feel the clutch more. The idea that it is illegal to drive barefoot is a urban legend made up from the law some states have passed forbidding driving in flip-flop sandles because they can come off and get stuck under the pedals.

  3. Step 3

Walking outdoors barefoot is a great experience on its own. Each type of surface has its own feel. Grass is stroking and calming, mud is soft and silky with rough spots, forest floor is ever changing and almost cork like. Walking barefoot can allow you to become more in touch with your surroundings.

  4. Step 4

However just like an arm that has been in a cast for months, if you have worn shoes all the time your feet are going to be too sensitive at first. They need time to adjust to different surfaces and toughen up the skin. At first walking on some surfaces can be painful, like gravel or concrete.
A normal human being who does not ever wear foot wear, should be able to run full speed down a gravel road with no discomfort at all. To be able to do this will require some months of barefoot walking, but within a few weeks of outdoor walking you will see an improvement in your ability to walk on hot, sharp or gravel like surfaces without discomfort.

  5. Step 5

Walking barefoot in urban can be a lot more tricky. Some establishments have policy's prohibiting barefoot customers and some claim that there are health regulations making it illegal to enter barefoot. While you cannot do anything about posted store policy's prohibiting barefoot customers, in the USA there are NO laws about the kind of footwear or lack of that a customer must wear. The only laws about footwear are relating to the employees only, to prevent slip and falls in the kitchen.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't let ignorant managers keep you from shopping barefoot!
  • Watch out for broken glass and other nastys.
