How to Exfoliate With a Sugar Scrub
If you want super-soft skin but are on a budget, you can employ common food ingredients to create an effective scrub. You can exfoliate skin using either sugar or salt. Different types of sugars -- different kinds of brown or white -- will also work. Look in your pantry before purchasing ingredients. Apply your paste three or four times a week, and use gentle circular motions. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Sugar
- Honey
- Olive oil, almond oil, aloe vera oil or other essential oils

Make a paste by combining your ingredients. Mix about half a cup of sugar with 3 tablespoons of honey and an equal amount of oil. Add water to make a thick paste.

Take a shower before applying the paste to your skin. Rub it in circular strokes over skin. Let it set for a couple of minutes, and then rinse thoroughly.

Apply your favorite moisturizer as soon as you get out of the tub or shower. Your skin should be soft and smooth.

Tips & Warnings
Concentrate on dry areas, such as knees, heels and elbows.
Use super-fine sugar if you have sensitive skin.
